Anthony is Echoing Green’s Director of Technology and Digital Media. Prior to joining Echoing Green, Anthony was a founder and managing partner of LightSky, an interactive agency specializing in serving the nonprofit and educational sectors. Under his leadership, LightSky grew to more than twenty employees serving more than one hundred clients. Anthony holds a BA in psychology from Goshen College (1999) and an MBA through the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has recently volunteered for the Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA).

Why do you do what you do?

wdydwyd sign: To be the duck that dives deep.

The most inspirational note I ever received was at my high school graduation. My English teacher wrote me a personal note about living up to my potential: to become more than "the duck that never dives deep." I'm still working on it.

What is the most surprising part of your job?

I’ve been known to serve as Echoing Green's resident iPhone repair person, laptop consultant, and mixologist. 

When not working, what are you caught doing?

Watching classic PBS culinary shows like Julia Child and Jacques Pepin and then doing my best to follow along in the kitchen.  I love the act of cooking on its own, but especially love sharing new food around a table with friends.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Bill Gates.  I had a thing for technology from the first time I played a video game on my Atari 2600. 

What is your favorite podcast or blog and why?

I stay current with hundreds of blogs, but the only podcast I consistently listen to is NPR’s All Songs Considered.  It’s a great way to discover new music.
