In many ways, the space in which you work pre-determines how you work. It affects our happiness, our productivity, our creativity, and our ability to drive innovation and success. The layout of your work place is also a reflection of the culture your organization is trying to create.

It’s always encouraging and, frankly, fun to dive in the statistics of our Fellowship applicants. As one of the few open seed funding processes for social entrepreneurs, we're often one of the first to notice emerging trends in the sector. Here are a few.

Unleash yourself! The application for the Echoing Green 2012 Fellowship is now open. The deadline to submit an application is January 9, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. EST.

We're gearing up for this year's Fellowship selection cycle. On Monday, December 5, 2011, we'll open up the 2012 application process. For all you budding social entrepreneurs out there, you'll have until January 9, 2012 to submit your social change business plans. We love this time of year—we get so inspired by the passion, commitment and visionary thinking expressed through the fellowship applications. So bring it!!!

For a late summer outing, the Echoing Green team recently made an exciting site visit to 2008 Echoing Green Fellow Jessamyn Waldman’s Hot Bread Kitchen.

“Sure, that sounds great,” we sometimes hear when we talk about our new Work on Purpose initiative. “I mean, it would be amazing if I could actually have a career in which I could ‘do good and do well,’ but we’re in the midst of an economic crisis here. Right now, it’s just about finding a job, any job.”
